Summer Blowout is about Bella Shaughnessy whose husband has left her for her half-sister, Sophia. To complicate things even more, the whole family works together in the family business, beauty salons. Bella is swears off men, but, of course, she meets one... She also inherits into a cute little dog named Precious. She is very confused about men, family, and relationships.

This book is lots of fun to read, a light beach book or chick lit. It will make you laugh, and you will want to go buy a new lipstick after reading it! Bella is quite comical and likeable, like your best friend. You will feel her pain, laugh at her antics, and be happy with her choices.
