Today's question: Have you ever used the Swap This Book function which can be found on the main page of any book (here is an example of Flirting With Forty by Jane Porter: link shown on book page, what it looks like if you click on the link)? If so, what do you think about it? If not, are there any other swap sites you utilize to exchange books once you are done? What do you do with your books if you no longer want them anymore?
I have never used the Swap This Book function available on Library Thing. I didn't even realize it was there! I did check it out and it is very cool. It is a great idea and something I will definitely use in the future. I do swap books at other sites. I use BookMooch all the time and I also use PaperBackSwap. I have way too many books to keep them all, so when I am done with a book I either sell it on Amazon, swap it on BookMooch or PaperBack Swap, or I give it away.

I didn't know anything about the Swap This Book feature either! How interesting. I need to check that out!
Off the subject, I actually got a real word for the word verification this time. It's "house". Haha!
I hadn't looked at the Swap This Book feature before today. With all the books piling up in our place, I really do need to start thinking about swapping, donating or just throwing out. Oh, the horror!
Just checked it out today and discovered something exciting!
My word verification this time is unagi - the japanese word for eel.
jlshall, don't throw them out!! No, that is just wrong...very, very wrong. ;-)
I am considering a stand at the street in the summer, like a lemonade stand but I will give books away instead.
I never saw this feature either, but it's great to have it. I always swap my books using either PBS or Bookmooch.
Have a great Tuesday!
Hi Julie! I'd be interested to hear which swap site (or Amazon) you prefer and why. I'm looking for an easy way to get rid of a few books, and our local book stores just don't give much credit at all!
Thanks for participating in Tuesday Thingers last week! I’ve got this week’s posted now.
:) Wendi
