Tuesday Thingers

Today's question:

Holiday gift-giving. Do you give books for the holidays? Did you participate in LT's SantaThing, either this year or last, or in other blogging gift exchanges? Were you happy with what you received?

I do give books for the holidays! I love to give books to children, especially. I figure if they already have the book, Mom can re-gift it at the next birthday party! I also give books to friends, usually a favorite of mine that I read that year or a book that might interest them. Giftcards are also great for people who read a lot & you are not sure which book to get them. I did participate in LT's SantaThing this year. I got 1 book I already had and 1 that I am excited to read:)

Yes, I love giving books to kids, too. Our nieces and nephews almost always get books from us at Christmas time. Since not many of the adults in our families are readers, we're trying to indoctrinate the little ones at an early age!

Children and books just go together! I love giving books to kids.

Here's my Thinger! I would also like to invite you to join me at Wendi's Book Corner next week as I begin hosting Tuesday Thinger with a huge thank you to Marie!

We mailed the books we got from you and the many trips to B&N to Alaska yesterday. It sure made the bags lighter! Happy New Year.

I used to give a lot of books as gifts but not so much anymore - I think the more I read the less sure I am of anyone else's tastes. This year is possibly the first year I've not given a single book at Christmas.
