Tuesday Thingers

What's the most popular book in your library? Have you read it? What did you think? How many users have it?

My answer: The most popular book in my library is The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. I heard SO much about this book that I finally gave in and read it. I enjoyed it, but it is not one of my all-time favorite books. 6,828 other LibraryThingers have the book, and it's been reviewed 595 times with an average rating of 3 and a half stars. The Da Vinci Code is also the 3rd most reviewed book, interesting...

I'm with you on The Da Vinci Code. I enjoyed it, but I didn't think it was good as everyone was making it out to be.

ok...let me try that again without screwing it up...lol

Ok, first, Da Vinci. I have said it before and I will say it again. It is a mystery why this book was popular. I thought it was just bad. Did not finish it, rare for me. BAD.

As to the link...well here is a page with a list of a lot of the common HTML codes. I just created a little file in My Documents where I saved the ones I use most often. then it is just a matter of highlighting, copy and paste.
The one you want is "link". just replace the site part with what you want the link to read and replace the address of the page you want the link to take you to where the 'http...com' part is.

hope that is clear ;-)

The Da Vinci Code is one of those books I have but have never been interested in it enough to read it. My husband enjoyed reading it but he was like you and said it was good but not a big favorite of his.

I agree about Da Vinci Code. But I liked the puzzles.

I thought The DaVinci Code was a fun read, but no better than many other thrillers I've read. And I never really understood all the controversy around it. But it wasn't good enough to make me want to read more Dan Brown anytime soon.

I read the Da Vinci Code and enjoyed it. I don't have it in my LT library, though, so I couldn't count that one. I didn't think it was as good as was advertised, but I liked it.

I liked it too but it wasn't one of my favorites.

I love your site! It is beautiful!! I read the Da Vinci Code, and my favorite thing about it was being able to discuss a few parts with my Dad - he and I don't always see eye-to-eye on books, so it was fun!

Here's my Thinger!

By the way - where did you get all your stats from? I'm not sure I did mine correctly!

I rather liked Da Vinci Code - I found it one of those fun breathless reads, a page turner when you're in the mood for that sort of thing. But my most popular book was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
